THE WORKBOOK FOR TEST SUCCESS: How to Be Calm, Confident and Focused on Any Test, is the newest and most needed of test prep books. Written by Dr. Ben Bernstein, a teacher for 40 years and a performance psychologist for 30 years, it gives the test-taker the effective study skills, strategies to reduce test taking anxiety and a guided road map to perform better on tests.
In a carefully constructed and researched model, Dr. Bernstein provides the nine effective tools for being calm, confident and focused on any test.
Dr. Bernstein began with developing a small publishing house under which to publish THE WORKBOOK FOR TEST SUCCESS and has 3 primary distribution vehicles: website direct sales, distributor sales, and an Amazon.com relationship.
Dr. Bernstein began by taking 3 (or more!) of the introductory classes which SBDC offers including Social Networking for Small Business and Successful Business Plans. The classes offered a way to organize next steps, and most importantly, identified resources that were available for small businesses. As a follow-up to the classes, Dr. Bernstein engaged in one-on-one counseling in the areas of Business Planning and Marketing Planning. These sessions offered a sense of focus and purpose, as well as accountability and direction to help move the business forward.
The interaction with the consultants provided empowerment and encouragement, as well as accountability. The business planning phase was effective in providing idea generation for orchestrating planned development and growth. And marketing planning presented opportunities and training for using social media to help generate sales. The mentors/consultants were resourceful, knowledgeable, and brought a sense of currentness to their respective fields.
Dr. Bernstein's book is now in its 2nd printing in a short period of time, above expectations. The book is being ordered in large quantities by public institutions, distributed world-wide to prominent figures, and being used as a teaching tool in classrooms. Dr. Bernstein is currently looking to bring on an employee to help fulfill demand.
"Interaction with the SBDC focuses your efforts to allow you to start where you are and use what you have. You'll leave your sessions and classes with a broad understanding the opportunities and resources available to you, and the empowerment and guidance needed to succeed as a small business."
