Mary Sheppard
Mary Shepard has had a diverse career spanning over 30 years as a management consultant and operating executive in the manufacturing, retail and wholesale distribution industries. For nine years, she has operated her own consulting practice based in California. She assists her clients plan and manage through periods of rapid growth, troubled situations and other periods of change. Areas of specialty are organizational management, operational support, mergers and acquisitions and project management. Clients have included major corporations in the retail, manufacturing and professional services industries as well as medium-sized and emerging companies.
Ms Shepard began her consulting career at Arthur Andersen & Co. where, over a 14-year period, she served clients in the Chicago and San Francisco offices. As an operating executive, Ms. Shepard served as Vice President & CFO of Safeway Inc.’s Private Label Division, as Senior Vice President & CFO of The Gymboree Corporation and Senior Vice President & CFO of Specialty Brands, Inc.
Ms Shepard holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy from Northern Illinois University. Currently, she is an active member of several professional organizations. She is Past President of the San Francisco Chapter of Financial Executives International and is also an active member of International Women’s Forum and Women’s Forum West.
